Road Safety Advisory
|
In light of the 4 fatal road traffic collisions so far this year, the Bermuda Police Service continues to urge motorists to slow down and drive with care, caution and courtesy on our roads. One road death a year is one too many. The four lives lost so far this year are a tragic reminder that Bermuda's roads can be dangerous and unforgiving if sensible driving practices are not adhered to. This is especially true for motorcycle riders. In that regard, the Bermuda Police Service, Bermuda Fire Service, Bermuda Road Safety Council and local insurance companies are currently working on a road safety campaign to highlight the importance of making good decisions on the road while emphasizing the consequences of reckless driving behaviour. |
All incidents are under investigation. Police are appealing to members of the public who have witnessed these incidents or may have information pertaining to them to contact their respective Police Station, Police Headquarters at 295-0011 or the confidential Crimestoppers Hotline on 1 (800) 623-8477.
