Missing Juvenile

The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public's assistance in locating 14 year old Dishon Burgess of Southampton. He has been missing since Wednesday, March 14, 2007 and is described as brown skinned; approximately 6' tall, of slim to medium build with a scar in his left eyebrow and full lips. However, it is apparent that Burgess has visited his Southampton residence several times since being reported missing, while the home was unoccupied. Burgess is known to frequent the areas of Rockaway, Rose Hill & White Hill in Southampton/Sandy's parishes. Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of 14 year old Dishon Burgess is asked to contact the Juvenile & Domestic Crime Unit on 295-0011.

Promotion

The Bermuda Police Service is pleased to announce the recent promotion of Sergeant Allan Meiguel:

Sergeant Meiguel has 18 years of service in policing. He started his career with the Trinidad & Tobago Police Service in 1988 where he worked in the Port of Spain Division, Task Force and the Organized Crime and Narcotics Unit. On May 31, 2003 Sergeant Meiguel joined the Bermuda Police Service and has served in the Narcotics Department as well as the Hamilton & Somerset Criminal Investigation Units. He was Acting Sergeant of 'A' Watch Operational Policing Division prior to his promotion. During his career, Sergeant Meiguel has received numerous commendations and awards from judges, senior supervisors, government departments and other organizations. Sergeant Meiguel also holds a Bachelor of Law Degree (Honours) and an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice.


All incidents are under investigation. Police are appealing to members of the public who have witnessed these incidents or may have information pertaining to them to contact their respective Police Station, Police Headquarters at 295-0011 or the confidential Crimestoppers Hotline on 1 (800) 623-8477.
