Update – Missing Kayaker

Around 11:30 this morning, Marine Police received a report that Department of Fisheries personnel located the kayak that was reported overdue on the shoreline in the area of Clearwater (southern side of Coopers Island); however, there was no sign of the individual who rented the kayak. Police are continuing to appeal for anyone with any information on the individual who rented this kayak, a white male believed to be in his 20s, or anyone who may know of his whereabouts, to contact the Marine Police Unit on 299-4585. |
All incidents are under investigation. Police are appealing to members of the public who have witnessed these incidents or may have information pertaining to them to contact their respective Police Station, Police Headquarters at 295-0011 or the confidential Crimestoppers Hotline on 1 (800) 623-8477.
