TWO MEN ARRESTED FOR FIREARMS INCIDENT

As a result of ongoing Police investigations into illegal firearms on the island, shortly before 1pm on Friday 30th May 2008, armed Police officers arrested 2 men on suspicion of being in possession of a firearm. These investigations are being carried out by a joint team of officers headed by the Officer In Charge of the Serious Crime Unit, Chief Inspector Antoine Daniels. It is anticipated that both men, aged 28 and 27 of St. George’s and Pembroke parishes respectively will be appearing before the courts shortly. |
All incidents are under investigation. Police are appealing to members of the public who have witnessed these incidents or may have information pertaining to them to contact their respective Police Station, Police Headquarters at 295-0011 or the confidential Crimestoppers Hotline on 1 (800) 623-8477.
