Weekend Activity

Between 9pm on Friday, June 24 and 4:30am on Saturday, June 25, 2005 the Police Support Unit (PSU) attended areas in the City of Hamilton, Hamilton parish, Pembroke, Paget, Warwick and Southampton. The officers also monitored liquor licensed premises and their patrons.

  • At the junction of Court Street & Elliot Street, Pembroke – a 28 year old man was arrested for outstanding warrants.
  • At the junction of Court Street & Angle Street, Pembroke - a 40 year old man was arrested for outstanding warrants.
  • Southampton Rangers Club, Southampton – Drugs found, no suspect.
  • City of Hamilton (Reid Street) - A 21 year old man was arrested for possessing an offensive weapon and a 23 year old man was arrested for suspicion of impaired driving.

Between 9pm on Saturday, June 25 and 4am on Sunday, June 26, 2005 the Police Support Unit (PSU) attended areas in Pembroke, the City of Hamilton, Paget, Hamilton parish and Smith’s parish. The officers also conducted laser speed checks in St. George’s and monitored liquor licensed premises and their patrons.

  • At the junction of Court Street & Elliot Street, Pembroke – Drugs found, no suspect.
  • At the junction of Parsons Road & Rambling Lane, Pembroke – Drugs found, no suspect.
  • At the junction of Curving Avenue & St. Augustine’s Road, Pembroke – a 16 year old boy, a 28 year old man and a 24 year old man were arrested for outstanding warrants.
  • While conducting laser speed checks at the junction of Mullet Bay Road & Rocky Hill Park, St. George’s – an 18 year old man and a 19 year old man were arrested for outstanding warrants.
  • Flatt’s Bridge, Smith’s parish – two female swimmers caught in strong currents were located with search lights and assisted from the water by Police.

All incidents are under investigation. Police are appealing to members of the public who have witnessed these incidents or may have information pertaining to them to contact their respective Police Station, Police Headquarters at 295-0011 or the confidential Crimestoppers Hotline on 1 (800) 623-8477.
