Medical Emergency

At 1:40pm today, Police attended a report of a medical emergency on Church Street in Pembroke near the junction with Dismont Drive. On arrival a man was found in an unresponsive state, lying on the ground near the entrance of the temporary bus terminal. CPR was performed on the unresponsive man before he was rushed to KEMH via ambulance. However the victim, a 78 year old Devonshire man, was subsequently pronounced dead at 2:10pm by an on call physician at the hospital. There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances. No further information will be released until the next of kin is notified. Inquiries into this incident are underway. |
All incidents are under investigation.
