The new bus terminal will officially open for operation on Thursday. In the meantime, bus operators are making test runs through the terminal from Victoria Street to Church Street in the City of Hamilton. Washington Street is not a through way and should only be used by motorists doing business on the street. It should not be used as a shortcut from Victoria Street to Church Street. The bus operators are reporting that they are encountering problems with motorists using this street as a free passage way. There are signs posted on Victoria Street at the junction with Washington Street stating that Washington Street is not a through way.
