At 2:30 this morning Police responded to a shooting incident which occurred inside the Swinging Doors Nightclub on Court Street. At present the victims are a 26 year old female, a 21 year old male and a 30 year old male all from Pembroke. All of the individuals are being treated at KEMH and their injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

The investigation has commenced with resources from the Serious Crime Unit (SCU), Criminal Investigation Unit (CIU), Forensic Support Unit (FSU) and other support units within the Service. Detective Chief Inspector Andrew Boyce will be heading up this inquiry.

This is a highly unusual event in Bermuda, and has the highest attention within the Service. We have a team of experienced officers in place and we encourage members of the public who may have been at Swinging Doors Nightclub or in the vicinity at the time of the incident to contact Police.
