Injury RTC

Around 10:55pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Cedar Hill in Warwick involving a pedestrian and a bus. Details about the incident are unclear; however, it appears the 47 year old Southampton man attempted to flag down the bus when it collided with his hand.

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 27 year old Ronald Christopher of Warwick. Mr. Christopher (motorcyclist) sustained serious head injuries in a three vehicle road traffic collision involving two motorcycles and a truck at the junction of South Road and Zuill’s Park Road in Smith’s parish.



Death of Edward Smith

As a result of a post mortem that was carried out today by a pathologist, the Bermuda Police Service has ruled out foul play in the death of 53 year old Edward Smith of Parsons Road in Pembroke. However, a cause of death is still undetermined pending a toxicology report.

Arrests

Thursday, May 05,2005

Around 2:45 this morning, Police attended a reported alarm activation at an Ocean Lane, Pembroke residence. Police searched the surrounding area and located the suspect, a 27 year old St. George’s man. He was subsequently arrested for suspicion of attempted breaking and entering, taken to the Hamilton Police station and detained.

Saturday, April 30,2005

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 21 year old Michael Scott Kozma of Pembroke. Mr. Kozma sustained head injuries in a serious road traffic collision with a Police vehicle at the junction of Dundonald Street and Cedar Avenue in Pembroke at 10:45pm on Friday. He was pronounced dead by an on-call physician at KEMH at 12:35pm today. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 29 year old Andrei Holling. Mr. Holling, a German national contract worker, sustained head injuries in a serious road traffic collision on South Road in Warwick around 3:20 this morning, and was pronounced dead by an on-call physician at the scene.



Arrest – Firearm Recovered

At 3:20 this morning Police officers monitoring CCTV observed an auxiliary cycle with two people on it acting in a suspicious manner in the City of Hamilton. Police on mobile patrol were alerted to this and located a cycle fitting the description at the junction of Court Street and Dundonald Street. The vehicle was followed and it was observed committing a number of traffic offences.



Update: Bodies Discovered At Abbot’s Cliff Identified

The Bermuda Police Service can confirm that the post mortem examinations of the two bodies found at Abbot's Cliff last Wednesday afternoon have been completed. Multiple points of identification have confirmed the bodies to be that of Jahmal and Jahmil Cooper. The family was notified of these findings.

The Search for the Cooper Twins

Police are continuing the search for missing twins Jahmal and Jahmil Cooper who were last seen in the early hours of Sunday March 13, 2005 at a residence on Crown Hill Lane in Devonshire. 25 officers will continue the systematic search to locate the missing men.

THE INVESTIGATION INTO THE REPORTED ASSAULT OF JAHMIL AND JAHMAL COOPER CONTINUES. A TEAM OF 24 DETECTIVES UNDER THE COMMAND OF ACTING SUPT. ANDREW BOYCE IS WORKING ON THIS INVESTIGATION. THE TEAM IS BEING ASSISTED BY MEMBERS OF THE MARINE UNIT AND AS OF TODAY, APPROXIMATELY 25 ADDITIONAL OFFICERS WILL BE DRAWN INTO THE INVESTIGATION TO ASSIST IN THE SEARCH FOR JAHMAL AND JAHMIL COOPER.



Update: Investigation into Missing Cooper Twins

The investigation into the disappearance of Jahmal & Jahmil Cooper continues and now includes arson at the crime scene in Crown Hill, Devonshire. Police believe persons unknown were attempting to obstruct the investigation into the assault and subsequent disappearance of the twins by torching the building.
