Reported Disturbance at St. David’s Cricket Club

Around 8:30pm Friday, April 14th (Good Friday) police and first responders were dispatched to a reported disturbance at St. David’s Cricket Club.
Police officers arrived a short time later but the individuals involved had already left the area.
An injured 18 year old St. George’s man believed to have been hurt in the incident was then located at the scene.
Renewed Appeal for Information: Suspicious Death of Jevon Daniels

Detective Sergeant Jason Smith (Serious Crime Unit) - On the 16th May 2016, Jevon Reid Daniels was 35 years old at the time he went missing.
Jevon's disappearance was brought to the attention of the police on the 21st May 2016, and a police investigation commenced into his disappearance which was and still is suspicious.
On Friday 17th June 2016, Jevon Daniels' body was found in bushes off of Ireland Island sports field commonly known as "Moresby Plain".
Public Requested to be Considerate When Flying Kites

Easter in Bermuda is warmly associated with the flying of kites, both the traditional and "artificial" variety. The season this year, however, has been punctuated by a sharp increase in public complaints about noisy and annoying kite flying.
There are a small number of people who constantly disturb and frustrate their neighbours by flying extremely loud kites in several neighbourhoods throughout Bermuda.
Policing Plans for Court Appearances

The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) previously announced that summonses have been issued in relation to the protests at the House of Assembly on 2nd December 2016. The defendants in these cases will appear in Hamilton Magistrates' Court on the 5th, 7th, 10th and 12th April.
The BPS is aware that calls are being made from sectors of the community for members of the public to show support for the defendants by assembling at the Court. The police are putting plans in place in the event that large numbers of people attend on the days mentioned.

Suspicious Death of Bermudian Man in Jamaica

The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) is aware of the death of a Bermudian man in Jamaica under suspicious circumstances.
A BPS Family Liaison Officer has been assigned to the deceased's family to assist during this difficult time.

Truck Crashes Over Embankment in Southampton [Updated]

Around 11:30pm Wednesday, March 29th police and Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service personnel were dispatched to a reported single vehicle truck crash on South Road in Southampton near the junction with Dolphin Ridge.
Details regarding circumstances of the crash are limited at this time, but the truck involved ended up over an embankment.

Commissioner of Police Mr. Michael A. DeSilva - His Excellency the Governor today released the report on the police action at the House of Assembly on Friday 2nd December 2016. The report was prepared by Assistant Chief Constable Christopher Shead who is attached to the National Police Coordination Centre (NPoCC) in London. The report contains an independent assessment made by an experienced public order practitioner of the planning, command, and tactics used by the police along with ten recommendations to be considered.
Witnesses to Alleged Indecent Activity Urged to Come Forward

The Bermuda Police Service is aware of rumours circulating about alleged indecent activities at the Kappa Classic football tournament this past weekend.
Members of the public are circulating the name of an alleged suspect, along with his photograph, via social media.
The police would like to point out that the person named was actually incarcerated in the Westgate Correctional Facility at the time of the alleged incident.
Five Men in Custody Regarding Court Street Assault Videos

Acting Detective Chief Inspector Dave Greenidge - Of six suspects identified, five men are now in custody as the investigation into two videos of Court Street assaults circulated on social media continues.
Inquiries indicate that the sixth suspect has already left the jurisdiction.
The five men currently in custody include the man arrested Wednesday afternoon, as well as four other men arrested Thursday morning (March 23rd).

Reported Serious Two Vehicle Collision in Sandys Parish [Updated]

Around 12:15pm today (Tuesday, March 21st) police and first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision in the Scaur Hill, Sandys parish area – apparently involving a motorcycle and a truck.
Details are limited at this time.
However, initial information suggests that the male motorcyclist involved may have sustained serious injuries.
Rider in ICU: Reported Single Vehicle Motorcycle Crash in Pembroke

Around 12:30am today (March 16th) police and first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle motorcycle crash on Fairyland Road in Pembroke, near the junction with Fairyland Lane.
It appears that the rider, a 29 year old Pembroke man, was injured after striking a wall.
He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment and later arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.

The Bermuda Police Service would like to remind members of the public to remain vigilant regarding online fraud, in light of a report involving a local resident defrauded by a social media scam.
In the recent reported instance, a local male Facebook user received the following messages from a newly added Facebook friend:
'Are you interested in receiving $700,000.00 Sir' and 'Sir you have been chosen among the Facebook promo 2017 winners to get a cash prize of $700,000,00 each.'
Reported Missing Teenager: India Smith [Located]

The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 15 year old India Smith.
Ms. Smith is described as brown complexioned, 5 feet 7 inches tall with short brown hair.
The teenager was apparently last seen around 10:20am Thursday, March 9th in her Berkeley Institute uniform for the school’s sports day at the National Stadium.
There is concern for the wellbeing of Ms. Smith, who usually travels on foot or by bus.
She is also known to frequent the City of Hamilton bus terminal as well as other areas in Pembroke and Devonshire.
Man Shot in Rambling Lane, Pembroke Area [Updated]

Around 10:30pm on Thursday, March 9th police responded to a report of a shooting in the Rambling Lane, Pembroke area.
Initial information suggests that a 19 year old Pembroke man was shot and taken to hospital by private vehicle for treatment.
He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit and at this time his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Reported Serious Motorcycle Crash in Smith’s Parish [Updated]

Around 10:20pm on Tuesday, March 7th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported serious single vehicle motorcycle collision in the Middle Road, Store Hill Smith’s parish area.
Details are limited at this time. However the rider, believed to be a 49 year old Warwick man, was injured and taken to hospital via ambulance for treatment.

Detective Chief Inspector Na’imah Astwood – Over the past weekend the Bermuda Police Service responded to two separate and unconnected reports of stabbings.
The first incident occurred around 3:00am on Sunday, March 5th, 2017.
Police initially responded to a report of a disturbance on Front Street in the City of Hamilton, in the vicinity of Bermuda Bistro at the Beach.
