Sudden Death of 3 Month Old Boy Roman Edwards-Easton

Chief Inspector Na’imah Astwood – Separately, the Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the sudden death of 3 month old Roman Edwards-Easton and extends sincere condolences to the Edwards and Easton families. An investigation regarding the circumstances of the infant boy’s death continues. An overseas forensic pathologist is currently in Bermuda and will perform an autopsy. Anyone with any information regarding the sudden death of 3 month old Roman Edwards-Easton is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Renay Rock on 717-0996.



Investigation Into the Death of 30 Year Old Mr. Dejon Simmons

Chief Inspector Na’imah Astwood – Sadly, the Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 30 year old Dejon Simmons and extends sincere condolences to his family and friends. Mr. Simmons was seriously injured in an altercation with another man on Front Street around 3:15am Sunday, March 18th. He was rushed via ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where he remained in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit until his death this morning.

Superintendent Sean Field-Lament – Good Afternoon. Firstly let me reiterate on behalf of the Bermuda Police Service our sincere condolences to the family & friends of Mark Dombroski. The Bermuda Police Service is progressing the investigation into the death of Mark, a visiting 19 year old American college freshman. A team of investigators is actively continuing their inquiries into the circumstances of Mark’s death.

Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police James Howard – It is with sadness that the Bermuda Police Service (BPS) can now confirm the death of 19 year old Mark Dombroski of Pennsylvania U.S.A. and we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Dombroski family. His body was found in the moat at Fort Prospect, which is located between Mary Victoria Road and Police Headquarters in Devonshire. The area has been cordoned off and the scene will be processed by officers from the Forensic Support Unit. An autopsy is anticipated in due course.

Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police James Howard – Good Afternoon Members of the Media & Public, The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) is conducting a full investigation into the disappearance of 19 year old American visitor Mark Dombroski. Mark is a freshman student at St. Joseph’s University in Pennsylvania U.S.A. Mark, is a member of St. Joseph’s University rugby team, that came to the island on Thursday, March 15th to compete in the 2018 Ariel Re Bermuda International 7s Rugby Tournament. There were 20 teams, both local and overseas, competing. The tournament finished on Saturday afternoon (March 17th). It then appears that Mark along with friends and family went out to socialise. The last time he was seen by his family and friends was a few minutes after 12am Sunday, March 18th at The Dog House (a local restaurant and bar) on Front Street in the City of Hamilton.

Police are asking for the public's assistance in locating 19 year old Mark Dombroski, of Pennsylvania who is a visitor to the island on a Rugby Tour with St. Joseph’s University. He was last seen at The Dog House on Front Street at 12am this morning. He is due to leave the island today. Description – Caucasian of small build, 6 feet tall with close cut blonde hair and apparently last seen wearing a green T-shirt. Here is a second photo of 19 year old Mark Dombroski. Demarcvjai Williams, Marco Salema 2nd & 3rd Road Fatalities of 2018 [Updated]

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the deaths of 29 year old Mr. Demarcvjai Williams as well as 34 year old Mr. Marco Salema – the second and third road fatalities of 2018 – and extends sincere condolences to their respective families and friends. It appears that the fatal collision involving the two men occurred around 9:30pm Friday, March 16th as Mr. Williams was riding a motorcycle in the eastbound lane of Marsh Folly Road, Pembroke and Mr. Salema was riding a motorcycle in the opposite direction.



Sudden Death of Mr. Anthony Easton

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 58 year old Mr. Anthony Easton and extends sincere condolences to his family and friends. He was found deceased in a Morgan Road, Warwick apartment Friday night (March 16th). The relevant police personnel as well as an on call doctor attended and processed the scene.



Joint Statement: Fire in Devonshire [Updated]

Lieutenant Russann Francis, Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service - The Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service Emergency Dispatch Center received a call for a brush fire at 0820hrs in the marsh near the Island Construction grounds.  On arrival we found a large area of brush on fire and spreading due to heavy winds.  We are currently fighting the fire and will provide updates shortly.



Sudden Death in Warwick [Updated]

Police responded to a report of an incident that took place on Morgan Road in Warwick a few minutes after 11pm on Friday night. Details are still emerging but it appears that a 58 year old man was found dead in his apartment. Officers from the Forensic Support Unit are processing the scene and officers from the Serious Crime Unit have been mobilized.



Double Road Fatality on Marsh Folly Road [Updated]

At 9:40pm (Friday, March 16th), first responders attended a report of a road traffic collision that took place on Marsh Folly Road next to the Marsh Folly dump in Pembroke. Details are still emerging but it appears that a male on a motorcycle was traveling east and collided with another male motorcyclist traveling in the opposite direction.



Reported Serious Single Vehicle Car Crash in Smith’s Parish [Updated]

Around 10:20pm Monday, March 12th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported serious single vehicle car crash on Middle Road in Smith’s parish in the vicinity of Flatts Post Office. Details are limited at this time. However, initial information suggests that the vehicle overturned and that as many as five people have been injured. Traffic diversions are in effect in the area until further notice.



Renewed Scam Advisory: Beware of Deceptive ‘Computer Assistance’ Calls

Once again the Bermuda Police Service (BPS) would like to remind members of the public – especially senior citizens – to remain vigilant regarding phone calls, e-mails and other correspondence from unknown persons that attempt to obtain personal information or other sensitive data. The BPS Organised and Economic Crime Department (OECD) has yet again received reports from local residents of telephone calls from unknown persons claiming to represent global technology companies such as Microsoft and Apple, as well as local communications companies Logic and North Rock.



Reported Missing Person: Randolph Hollis [Located]

The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 67 year old Randolph Hollis. Mr. Hollis is described as brown complexioned, with ‘salt & pepper’ coloured hair. He was last seen in the Church Lane, Pembroke area around 11am Thursday, March 8th. It is unclear what clothing he was wearing at that time. Mr. Hollis is known to frequent the Harlem Heights Road, Hamilton parish area and usually travels on foot or by bus.



Sudden Death of Mr. Howard Charles

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 69 year old Mr. Howard Charles and extends sincere condolences to his family and friends. Mr. Charles was seriously injured in an incident that occurred around 3:20pm today (March 8th) on Brighton Hill Road in Devonshire involving the carriage he was driving, pulled by two horses. He was rushed to hospital via ambulance but sadly, later pronounced dead.



Reported Serious Horse & Carriage Incident in Devonshire [Updated]

Around 3:20pm today (March 8th) police and first responders were dispatched to a reported serious incident involving a carriage pulled by two horses that occurred on Brighton Hill Road in Devonshire, near the junction with Middle Road. It appears that no other vehicles were involved. The male carriage driver was injured and transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance.



Reported Collision in Warwick [Updated]

Around 5:45pm today (March 7th) police and first responders were dispatched to a reported collision at the junction of Middle Road and Khyber Pass in Warwick. Initial information suggests that a car and a motorcycle were involved, with the male rider sustaining injuries that may be serious. He has already been transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment and an update on his condition will be provided in due course.



Motorcyclist Injured in Collision With Van [Updated]

Police and other first responders attended a report of a road traffic collision that took place at 7:29pm on Camp Road in Warwick. It appears that a van was traveling south and a male on a motorcycle was traveling north when they collided. As a result, the 25 year old male rider was taken to the hospital where he is presently being treated with injuries at this point that are classified as serious.



Overturned Truck in Warwick: No Reported Injuries [Updated]

Around 12 noon today police and Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service personnel responded to an overturned truck in the Middle Road, Khyber Pass Warwick area. Details remain limited. However, apparently no one was injured in the incident. Traffic is currently being diverted from the area until further notice while Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service personnel address any spilled fuel from the vehicle.
