Investigation Underway After 55 Year Old Man Admitted to ICU

Detectives are currently following lines of inquiry regarding a 55 year old man – said to be from Hamilton parish – who was seriously injured in an alleged altercation sometime between Wednesday, March 20th and Friday, March 22nd.
He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit Friday night (March 22nd) and at last check this morning (March 26th) remained in the Intensive Care Unit listed in stable condition.
Deputy Commissioner Designate Graduates UK Strategic Command Course

Deputy Commissioner Designate Mr. Darrin Simons, today graduated from the prestigious Strategic Command Course (SCC) n the UK.
He received his graduation certificate from the Course Director, Chief Constable Dee Collins, Chief Executive of the College of Policing Mr. Mike Cunningham and the UK Home Secretary Mr. Sajid Javid.
The SCC course, which began in January 2019 and put delegates through a comprehensive programme of learning including business and finance skills, ethical leadership and command training, seeks to prepare candidates for roles as Chief Officers in the UK and other international police forces.
Sudden Death of 61 Year Old Keith Peniston

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 61 year old Mr. Keith Peniston and extends sincere condolences to his family and friends.
Mr. Peniston – said to be of no fixed abode – was found barely conscious, lying on Parliament Street near the junction with Front Street around 9:30pm Wednesday, March 20th by police officers on mobile patrol in the City of Hamilton.

The official launch of the Parish Constables and community Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officers (West & East) was held 5:30pm Thursday, March 14th at Police Headquarters in Prospect Devonshire.
Dignitaries on hand for the official launch included His Excellency the Governor, Mr. John Rankin CMG, the Minister of National Security the Hon. Wayne M. Caines JP MP and the Commissioner of Police Mr. Stephen Corbishley – as well as community partners, family and friends.
12 Police Recruits on Recruit Foundation Course 79 SCARS Certified

The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) has traditionally supported SCARS (Saving Children And Revealing Secrets) Bermuda by conducting that specific training delivered as a supplement to our normal training regime.
Since 2015, the BPS has had approximately 400 members of staff SCARS certified.
Today (March 12th) for the first time, the BPS has delivered the training as a mandatory part of our initial Recruit Training Course.
As a result, twelve BPS recruits will be entering their policing careers SCARS certified.
Robbery on Ord Road: Cash Taken, No One Injured [Updated]

Police responded to a report of a robbery that took place on Ord Road in Paget.
Details are still emerging but it appears that at 8:30am today (Saturday), a male entered “The Minimart” on Ord Road in Paget and brandished what appeared to be a bladed article and demanded money.
He was given an undisclosed amount of cash and he then left the area on foot.

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 39 year old Mr. Shannon-Hugh Davis and extends sincere condolences to his family and friends.
Mr. Davis – understood to be a Hamilton parish resident – was seriously injured when the motorcycle he was riding east was struck by a 38 year old male motorcyclist traveling in the opposite direction on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish, between Trinity Church Road and Panorama Drive, around 6:40pm Friday, March 1st.
Reported Serious Collision on North Shore Road in Hamilton Parish [Updated]

At 6:41pm police and first responders attended a report of a road traffic collision that took place on North Shore Road at the junction of Panorama Drive in Hamilton Parish.
It appears that two males on separate motorcycles were traveling in opposite directions on North Shore Road when the rider who was traveling west attempted overtaking a car and in the process he hit the car and subsequently collided with a motorcyclist traveling in an easterly direction.

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 41 year old Mr. Javon Gardner and extends sincere condolences to his family and friends.
Mr. Gardner was found by a member of his family in an unresponsive state around 11:15am Thursday, February 28th in his Malabar Close, Sandys parish home and later pronounced dead at the scene by an on call doctor.
Foul play is not suspected and a cause of death is being examined.

Mr. Benjamin was found by a member of the public in an unresponsive state around 10:30pm Wednesday, February 27th on the Railway Trail in the Loyal Hill, North Shore Road Devonshire area.
Death of 41 Year Old Man [Updated]

The Bermuda Police Service can confirm the death of a 41 year old male who was found by a member of his family in a non-responsive state in his dwelling in Malabar Close in Sandys at 11:15am today.
The man was pronounced dead a short time after by an on call physician and no further information will be given until the next of kin has been notified.
Foul play is not suspected.
22 Year Old Male Motorcyclist Hurt in Paget Crash [Updated]

Police and first responders attended a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision that took place around 8:06pm on Trimingham Hill in Paget.
It appears that a 22 year old man was traveling south on Trimingham Hill when he lost control of his cycle and hit the curb. The man was conveyed to the hospital and his condition is presently unknown.
Arrest of 60 Year Old Sandys Parish Man

The Bermuda Police Service can confirm the arrest of a 60 year old Sandys man in connection with a sexual assault.
He was subsequently released on police bail and an investigation into the matter is now underway.

Stabbing Incident on Random Lane in Warwick: Two Men Injured [Updated]

Police responded to a report of an incident that took place at 6:28pm at a residence on Random Lane in Warwick today.
Details are still emerging but it appears that an altercation took place between two males resulting in one of the males being stabbed and the other male suffering unspecified injuries.
