Reported Missing Person: 67 Year Old Lionel Outerbridge [Located]

The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 67 year old Lionel Outerbridge.
Mr. Outerbridge is described as brown complexioned, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall of slim build, weighing around 150 pounds.
He was last seen around 10:30am Tuesday, June 18th in the Kent Avenue, Devonshire area wearing khaki pants, a red shirt, and a red Digicel hat.
There is concern for Mr. Outerbridge, as he is understood to be on specific medication.
Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of 67 year old Lionel Outerbridge is encouraged to contact the main police telephone number 295-0011 at the earliest opportunity.
Update: Wednesday, June 19th - The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 67 year old Lionel Outerbridge.
Mr. Outerbridge was found safe and well around 8:30am today (June 19th) in the area of Front Street and King Street, in the City of Hamilton.
Collision Involving a Police Motorcyclist and a Pedestrian [Updated]

Around 5:25pm Monday, June 17th a collision involving a police motorcyclist and a pedestrian occurred on Burnaby Street in the City of Hamilton.
Early information suggests that the incident happened on the section of Burnaby Street between Reid Street and Church Street and that the pedestrian involved sustained a leg injury while the police motorcyclist sustained abrasions.
Reported Armed Robbery at Blue Hole Hill Park [Updated]

Around 5:30pm today (June 16th) police officers responded to a reported armed robbery at Blue Hole Hill Park in Hamilton parish.
Early information suggests that a woman and her two children were walking in the park when they were approached by an unknown man brandishing a bladed article.
Reported Attempted Armed Robbery at Howzat Liquor Store [Updated]

Around 8:40am today (June 16th) police officers responded to a reported attempted armed robbery at Howzat liquor store on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish.
Early information suggests that a lone male wearing a dark coloured helmet entered the store brandishing what appeared to be a firearm and demanded money.

Commissioner of Police Stephen Corbishley – Following the publication of a letter by Dr. Reddy to Bermuda Health Care Services’ patients in the news media I can confirm that in late February 2019 an undertaking was offered, and accepted, that no steps would be taken in relation to the Protocol (Part 1) pending an application by the Intervener for a Stay of the implementation of the Protocol.
A hearing was conducted on 26 February 2019 where Justice Subair Williams considered the Intervener’s application for a stay and leave to appeal.
Female Visitor Hurt in Southampton Rental Cycle Crash [Updated]

Around 3pm Sunday, June 9th a reported serious single vehicle rental scooter crash occurred on South Road in Southampton near the Fairmont Southampton resort.
Details are limited at this time. However, the visiting female rider involved sustained suspected head injuries and was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance.

At a 5:30pm ceremony held at Police Headquarters in Prospect Devonshire on Friday, June 7th eleven officers were promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

Wayne Caines JP MP, Commissioner of Police Stephen Corbishley, Deputy Commissioner Designate Darrin Simons, Assistant Commissioner Antoine Daniels and Assistant Commissioner Martin Weekes.
Arrest of a Serving Police Officer & Member of Public

The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) can confirm the arrest of a 27-year-old female Police Officer & a 43-year-old male from Smith’s Parish. The officer who serves in our Hamilton Patrol Department, was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to defeat justice. The male was arrested for the same offence.
Detectives from our Specialist Investigations Department are investigating the matter, and no comment will be made while the investigation is ongoing.
Southampton Rangers Sports Club Liquor Licence Renewed With Conditions

Superintendent James Howard – A Liquor Licencing Authority hearing was held on Thursday 30th May 2019 regarding Southampton Rangers Sports Club’s request to renew their liquor licence.
Representatives for the sports club as well as the Bermuda Police Service (BPS) made submissions at the hearing.
On behalf of the Commissioner of Police, I filed a formal objection to the Liquor Licencing Authority.
Reported Single Vehicle Crash in Hamilton Parish Saturday Morning [Updated]

Around 6:25am today (June 1st) a single vehicle crash was reported on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish.
It appears that a sanitation truck crashed through a wall in the Crawl Hill area, knocking down two utility poles - apparently on to a home.
However, no injuries have been reported at this time.
Three Hurt in Collision on Stowe Hill, Paget [Updated]

Around 12:55pm Friday, May 31st a collision occurred on Stowe Hill in Paget.
Police, Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service as well as ambulance personnel responded.
Early information indicates that a lone male motorcyclist being pursued by a police motorcyclist travelled the wrong way (south) up Stowe Hill and collided with another male motorcyclist, with a female pillion passenger, as well as a car (both vehicles travelling north).
Constable Austin Receives Leadership Award at ICISF 15th World Congress

Constable Wynford (Richard) Austin was recently recognised with a leadership award at the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) 15th World Congress, held in Baltimore Maryland, U.S.A. from May 19th until May 24th 2019.
The award is in recognition of Constable Austin’s commitment to the Bermuda Police Service (BPS) Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) programme since its inception, providing CISM training to many, as well as setting up mutual aid protocols with local CISM teams including the Bermuda Red Cross and the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) of Bermuda.

Reported Two Car Collision on South Road in Paget [Updated]

Around 10:10pm Sunday, May 26th police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision on South Road in Paget near the junction with Southcote Road.
It appears that two cars were being driven in opposite directions on South Road when they collided.
Early information indicates that there were children passengers in one of the vehicles.

Before a packed audience at the Cayman Westin Grand Hotel, Amalgamated Security Services Limited (ASSL) held their Regional Recognition Awards Ceremony during the 34th Annual General Meeting and Conference of the Association of Caribbean Commissioners of Police (ACCP) Wednesday evening (May 22nd).
Every year since 2015, ASSL publicly recognizes the Caribbean top cops during an awards ceremony at the AGM and Conference of the ACCP, which was held in the Cayman Islands this year from May 21st until May 24th.

Police Cadet Alnique Young-Looby Wins Relay for Life Song Contest

The Bermuda Police Service celebrates the achievement of Cadet Alnique Young-Looby, who entered and won the 2019 Relay for Life of Bermuda song competition.
The competition required persons entering to record a song that Relay for Life could use as their theme song.
Cadet Young-Looby, a singer and aspiring songwriter, recently lost her grandfather to cancer and collaborated with her vocal coach in writing the winning song.

Three Years Later, Patrick Dill Murder Investigation Still Active

The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) is renewing their appeal for witnesses to come forward in the murder of Patrick Dill, who was shot outside of his home approximately 11pm on Saturday the 21st day of May 2016.
This case remains an active murder investigation and today marks the third anniversary since Patrick was killed.
The investigating team would like to speak with witnesses in the Crossland Lane area of Pembroke that might have seen persons acting suspiciously in the area before and after the fatal shooting, as well as persons that have information about this callous murder.
