Police officers were on mobile patrol on South Road in Paget around 1:45 a.m. on Friday, September 22nd, 2023, when they observed a male riding a motorcycle heading west, near Paraquet Restaurant, using his foot to push another bike, which was believed to have been stolen, also ridden by a male.

Upon seeing the officers, the rider of the suspected stolen bike jumped off and got on the back of the the other bike.

The men failed to stop when called on to do so by the officers and sped off before they were seen again near Tribe Road No. 5.

The rider lost control of the bike as he again sped off, throwing the pillion passenger off in his attempt to make good his escape.

After a short foot chase the pillion passenger, a 19-year-old male, was arrested on suspicion of bike theft.

Officers were also able to ascertain the identity of the rider said to be a fifteen-year old male and an arrest is imminent.
