Today, members of Recruit Foundation Course (RFC) #76 had the opportunity to be interviewed by local media representatives about their choice to become a police officer, as orientation week continues.
All 25 student officers have had various life experiences that ultimately led them to seek a career with the Bermuda Police Service (BPS).
The 15 men (11 Bermudians and four spouses of Bermudians) and 10 women (nine Bermudians and one spouse of a Bermudian) range in age from 21 to 47 years old.
Among them is a former Reserve Police officer, a former BPS Station Duty officer, a former H.M. Customs officer as well as individuals with Bermuda Regiment training.
In addition, the intensive 17 week training course consists of persons with community, scientific and corporate backgrounds, among others. |
