At 2:30pm on Sunday, July 15th the ten strong police team completed the Concept2 one million metre rowing challenge at Sandys 360 Sports, Aquatic & Enrichment Centre. [Click photo to enlarge].
The police team of Sergeant Derek Berry, Sergeant Kevin Christopher, Detective Constable Sylvester Augustine, Constable Cerepha Bridgeman, Constable Michael Charlton, Detective Constable Tim Harvey, Teena Tyrrell, Constable Latoyia Brunson, Station Duty Officer Vernagine Symonds and Constable Tiffani DeSilva rowed continuously in shifts from 3pm Wednesday, July 11th until completion at 2:30pm Sunday, July 15th. The team members are tired, but in good spirits after achieving this marathon feat!
All donations collected will go to benefit the Sandys 360 Youth Development Fund.
