Members of the public are encouraged to join police officers and support staff from Somerset Police Station as they row one million metres as part of their Community Outreach Programme.
The event is being hosted at the Sandys 360 Sports, Aquatic & Enrichment Centre and starts at 3pm on Wednesday, July 11th 2012, with the ten member police team rowing continuously for three and a half days in order to complete the one million metre distance - which is almost 622 miles!
It is anticipated that the police team will complete this marathon rowing challenge during the afternoon of Sunday, July 15th.

Pledges can be made at the Sandys 360 front desk, the Somerset Police Station and via members of the police team.
Funds raised will be donated to the Sandys 360 Youth Development Fund.
