Around 5:55pm today, Police responded to a report of a road traffic collision resulting in injury on Parsons Road in Pembroke near the junction with Field View Lane involving a car and a motorcycle. Details about how the collision occurred are unclear at this time; however the rider of the motorcycle, a 28 year old St. George’s man, sustained serious head injuries. He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment and at last check was in critical condition. Traffic was diverted away from the scene for approximately two hours following the collision. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 295-0011. |
