Update: Airport

From the Government Department of Communication & Information (DCI) - The Department of Airport Operations is advising the public that due to storm force cross winds being experienced at the L.F. Wade International Airport, a decision has been made to close the airport until 5.00 p.m.

As a reminder the following flights have been cancelled for today:

Continental
Jet Blue
US Airways
Delta Airlines out of Atlanta

At this stage, British Airways from Gatwick is en route to Bermuda. For more information regarding inbound and out bound flights, the public is encouraged to contact their respective airlines.

All incidents are under investigation. Police are appealing to members of the public who have witnessed these incidents or may have information pertaining to them to contact their respective Police Station, Police Headquarters at 295-0011 or the confidential Crimestoppers Hotline on 1 (800) 623-8477.
