The Eastern Criminal Investigation Unit assisted by the Eastern Community Action Team seized 30 cultivated cannabis plants Tuesday afternoon, which were located on secluded ground adjacent to St. George’s Golf Course.

Inspector Andy Morgan, Second in Command of the Eastern Area said, “Clearly a small minority remain intent on cultivating and dealing in large quantities of controlled substances. As we continue to work with the community, every effort will be made to make this behavior unattractive. We actively encourage members of the public to report any suspicious activity to us in confidence at Southside Police Station on 293-2222 and thank the community for their assistance in this case.”
