Appointment of Deputy Commissioner of Police & Subsequent Change of Command

The Commissioner of Police is pleased to announce that His Excellency the Governor, Sir Richard Gozney KCMG, has announced the appointment of Assistant Commissioner Michael Jackman as the new Deputy Commissioner of Police with effect from the 16th December, 2009.

A Change of Command Ceremony is being planned for Wednesday 16th December, 2009 at Police Headquarters, at which time Mr. Michael DeSilva and Mr. Michael Jackman will be sworn in as Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner respectively.

All incidents are under investigation. Police are appealing to members of the public who have witnessed these incidents or may have information pertaining to them to contact their respective Police Station, Police Headquarters at 295-0011 or the confidential Crimestoppers Hotline on 1 (800) 623-8477.
