Traffic Diversions
|
The Bermuda Police Service would like to make the motoring public aware of the following traffic diversions within the City of Hamilton this weekend due to trenching work/construction taking place in the following locations:
- Church Street, opposite City Hall – From 12pm Saturday, traffic will be reduced to one lane at the top of Queen Street to the bus terminal due to the erection of a tower crane. A Police officer will be on duty to assist with traffic flow. It is anticipated that the erection of the crane will be completed by Sunday evening.
- At the junction of Reid Street & Court Street – trenching will be taking place across the junction; however, traffic traveling along Reid Street into the City of Hamilton will be able to divert north towards Court Street or south towards Front Street.
- Crow Lane, between the Shell gas station and the bottom of Spurling Hill – trenching will be taking place on the inbound lane into the City of Hamilton. The middle lane will then become the inbound lane into Hamilton, while the lane nearest ‘Great Things’ will become the outbound lane, with traffic coming from Hamilton. There will be no parking cones along the outbound lane.
