Police were on mobile patrol around 1:50am Saturday on North Shore Road in Devonshire, when officers came upon a driver of a car acting suspiciously. The car was stopped and officers noticed that two males were in the car. It was at that point the occupants of the car were searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act. One of the men had a silver foil twist containing a quantity of brown powder and two partly used cigarettes in his top pocket. The brown powder was seized. The man was arrested and cautioned for being in possession of what is believed to be a controlled substance.
Disturbance
Around 3:10am on Saturday Police responded to a report of a disturbance on Dundonald Street in Pembroke, however the incident had subsided. Officers continued patrolling the area and whilst traveling west along Elliot Street, they came upon a man who had a wound to his head and blood coming from the wound. He stated that a group of twenty men assaulted him whilst walking west along Dundonald Street by the BIU Gas Station, attacking him with their hands and robbing him of his gold chain. He further stated that the men then walked east along Dundonald Street towards Court Street. However, the victim said he does not wish any further police action and refused to give a description of his attackers.
