Around 12:25 this morning, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Rose Hill Drive, Sandy’s parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that around midnight she heard a noise in the living room. When she went to investigate she found an unknown man in her house and confronted him. However, the suspect was able to make good his escape on foot and despite a search of the area by Police, he was not located. The suspect is described as a dark skinned male, approximately 5’8” tall of medium build with a square face and a moustache. He was wearing a white full face helmet with a visor, jean shorts and a dark coloured lightweight jacket. A tan coloured purse containing $30 in cash and personal items was taken from the home. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Around 4:55pm on Monday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Shelton Road, Pembroke residence. On arrival officer spoke with the complainants who stated that sometime between 12:30pm and 1:10pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into their home. The culprit stole approximately 80 pieces of gold & silver jewelry, a metallic blue Panasonic Handycam digital camcorder and a dark blue Nintendo Game Boy. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are asking the public to be vigilant of individuals selling jewelry in the area and anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.
Missing Juvenile
Police are appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 13 year old Christionae Grizzle. She was last seen by her mother at 7:45am on Thursday, May 12, 2005. She is described as light brown skinned, approximately 4’9” tall weighing approximately 150 pounds with a short haircut. She is known to frequent the Court Street, St. Monica’s Mission and Angle Street areas of Pembroke. Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of 13 year old Christionae Grizzle is asked to contact the Juvenile & Domestic Crime Unit on 299-4477.
Update: The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 13 year old Christionae Grizzle. She was found safe & sound this evening and is now with her family.
