Around 1 this morning, Police attended a reported attempted robbery on Middle Road in Southampton, near the junction with Camp Hill.

Around 2:25pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a First Avenue, Devonshire residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainants who stated that sometime between 1:20pm and 2pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into their home. The culprit stole a wallet containing $500 in cash and several items of jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 3:50 this morning, Police on mobile patrol on Middle Road in Devonshire observed a motorcycle turning on to Orange Valley Road without its headlight on. The officers caused the motorcycle to stop and spoke with the rider, a 22 year old Hamilton parish man. He was subsequently arrested for suspicion of impaired driving, taken to Hamilton Police Station and detained.
Theft
Around 12:20 this morning, Police attended a report of a car on fire at a Hartle Drive, Sandy’s parish residence. The Bermuda Fire Service also attended. On the arrival of Police officers and firefighters at the scene, the fire had already been extinguished. The complainants stated that they were alerted to the fire by a neighbour around 12:15am. An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
