June 7 - Daily Report

Disturbance At Snorkel Park - Around 2:35am on Tuesday, police attended a disturbance at Snorkel Park in Dockyard. An altercation had taken place between two male cruise ship employees and a group of local men. Security staff at Snorkel Park immediately responded and broke up the fight, but not before both cruise ship employees and one of the security staff had been assaulted. One of the crew members received the worst of the injuries that required admission to the hospital. His injuries are not considered life threatening. An investigation is underway, but no arrests have been made at this point. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010.

Road Safety Advisory

The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the motoring public to slow down and to drive as well as ride responsibly on the island’s roads. Additionally, we urge those traveling in cars to use their seatbelts at all times and make sure any children traveling in the vehicle are appropriately restrained. Those traveling on motorcycles should always fasten their helmets and avoid making a third lane.

Burglary Advisory

The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the public to remain vigilant regarding burglaries by making sure windows and doors are locked before leaving their homes unattended, even for short periods of time. Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious vehicles, activities or individuals in their neighbourhoods to Police on 295-0011.


All incidents are under investigation. Police are appealing to members of the public who have witnessed these incidents or may have information pertaining to them to contact their respective Police Station, Police Headquarters at 295-0011 or the confidential Crimestoppers Hotline on 1 (800) 623-8477.
