The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 24 year old Roger Pitcher of St. George's. Mr. Pitcher succumbed to serious head injuries sustained in a single vehicle road traffic collision that occurred around 7:20pm on Thursday, November 30, 2006 on Kindley Field Road in St. George's near Stonecrusher Corner. It appeared that the 24 year old was riding east on Kindley Field Road when he lost control of his motorcycle approaching Stonecrusher Corner. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing. Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to this collision to contact PC Cassius Fevriere at the St. George's Police Station on 297-1122 or the main Police number, 295-0011. The Bermuda Police Service extends its sincere condolences to the family & friends of the deceased.
The death of Roger Pitcher marks the 12th road traffic fatality for 2006.
