Update on Osagi Bascome Murder Investigation

Tue, 2021-12-21

The Bermuda Police Service can confirm a twenty-four-year-old male has been arrested in relation to the investigation into the murder of Osagi Bascome.

Detective Chief Inspector, (DCI), Peter Stableford said, “Our appeal for members of the public to come forward and assist investigators by telling us what they know about this tragic incident, has been somewhat successful. We would like to thank those individuals who responded and provided information. That information has allowed the investigation to progress, resulting in this arrest.”

Mr. Stableford stressed, “We are aware there are individuals who accompanied Osagi to that party at “Fun Zone”, who, for whatever reason, are refusing to speak with us. Their unwillingness to co-operate with police is worrying. We urge those individuals to reconsider their position and help provide justice and closure to Osagi’s family.”

Investigators are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who may have recorded footage from the party. Please get in touch with us or, you may upload the footage directly at https://portal.police.bm/crime.

Of course you may also call 211, the confidential Crime Stoppers number on 800-8477, or DCI Stableford directly on 717-2286.
